Be Weary of Anthony Morrison The Hidden Millionaire Scam

May 27, 2010 by Leonel Apartin

The past 2/3 nights I have been flipping the channels and kept coming across these informercials about a make money online marketing system, and of course, that brought my attention. I actually started to watch it, I really wanted to know what this guy Anthony Morrison is selling.

The pitch is that you can make THOUSANDS of dollars from home with his system (that he made millions on) by buying his book but he has “vested interest in you”..in..”anyone that picks up the phone now and orders my book…”. The sales pitch is right there and plenty of people that are desperate looking to make a buck in this economy could easily fall for something like that. It seems that’s already the case as I guess I’ve never heard of this guy, but he’s been around as I came across a FORUM THREAD that has A LOT of people talking about this system being a scam.

It’s very long but from what I gathered from reading several other websites, this is what it is; Anthony Morrison system and the hidden millionaire introduces people to affiliate marketing using Google Adwords. He charges $4k and has you sign contracts (ouch.) There are horror stories.

My hope for this post is for people who are thinking about purchasing this system because they are struggling to make money and want to work at home is to know and understand what the system is and you don’t need it. Sure, to be fair, I believe learning Google Adwords and Affiliate Marketing does have value, let’s face it, A LOT of people make money that way. What gets me is to see people who are struggling being sold false information about the money that’s to be made and set real standards.

You can make a lot of money from Affiliate Marketing, just know and understand it takes time and a good amount of knowledge on what marketing tactics to use, what niches to enter due to pay-per-click prices in the search engines (Google Adwords for example) and other things.

If you spend a few hours online researching affiliate marketing and Google Adwords, you will get the gist of it and can learn it on your own. Anthonys Morrison system is something that people need to understand once you purchase it, you will spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars promoting these credit card offers and HE IS MAKING MONEY OF YOU. You can eliminate a middle man. It is so easy to sign up to an affiliate program.

Again, from what I have read and saw on the informercial, there is value in learning about affiliate marketing, Google Adwords, and getting a website as template because the reality is that someone who starts at first, without much knowledge, for the most part, fail. Again, that’s for the most part.

Anthony Morrisons the free milionaire offers a ‘free website’ that he provides to you and really sells you on the ‘no hosting fees.’ Well…what happens if Anthony Morrison goes out of business and shuts his servers down. You lose your website.

Again, beweary to purchasing this product and read forums from people whom have purchased this system.

This is a quote from DeskTopServer article on the system:

“Basically, all of the “success stories” are actually employees of the company, business associates with Anthony, or close friends and family members. Not a single one of them had to pay any monthly fees along the way or the $4k sign up fee, therefore none of them were technically “scammed” out of anything. In fact, the only way they get their paychecks is if Anthonys company is a success. (Think about that and it won’t be any surprise to you that they would write a “success story” for his website. Any good friend would, right?)”

If you hit the search engines about this you’ll get an earfull. Anthony Morrison and his employees are very proactive when it comes to responding to blog and message board posts. Also I suspect they’re posting all the glowing messages about making money with it. They’ve also registered a ton of domains and made blogs to try to dilute any negative posts and of course talk up their thing. Of course the people who invested the $4,000 and didn’t make money are pretty livid about it.

To sum it up, the problems I have with the Anthony Morrison Hidden Millionaire system is it doesn’t cost $4,000 to learn how to open a Google adwords account. It also doesn’t cost anything to join an affiliate network to promote credit card offers (they also charge a $30 a month fee which you shouldn’t be paying. The biggest problem people will run into is that the keywords for the business are expensive and with the conversion rate, most will be lucky to break even or not lose their shirt in the process.”

I really don’t doubt that statement, take a look at this blog: http://anthonymorrisonstudentsblog.com/, what do you think?

DISCLAIMER TO THIS POST: I see a lot of activity on this particular post and it was never my intention to just call someone out, especially of a system that I’ve never used myself. I saw this on TV a couple of times and being an online marketer and someone heavily involved in the industry, I decided to do some research and write a post. I urge you, besides reading this, to do your own research on this program. I just wrote based on the facts and info I’ve gathered. Again, I don’t know Anthony Morrison nor have I ever used the hidden millionaire program.

I see this guys Anthony Morrisons commercials every night almost and keep watching. You’re right, he is essentially selling affiliate marketing but if you do your own research, you can easily do what he is selling without paying him.

I did some research myself and there are horror stories about this, just Google “Anthony Morrison Scam.”

If you’re looking for a way to make money, don’t spend money on these programs as they are not the way to go, this is for the benefit of someone else!

  2. Anthony Irons says:

I bought Anthony Morrisons books thinking they were a good idea. After doing research I realized that it takes way more then he said to make it work. I then found a site that pays me to take surveys and have been making money since for absolutly no charge what so ever.

  3. I’ve been told by a friend that Clickbank make it almost impossible to receive a commission by pushing you to trade oodles of unique e-books by a range of charge cards and even Paypal. I would like to employ Clickbank however I’m concerned with this situation. Is it correct?

The great thing about running an internet business is that it is an opportunity available to anyone. You do not need any credentials or higher education. The only thing you need to do is to stick to the plan that Anthony Morrison will teach you.

@Christopher – You sound like a Morrison employee. I typed http://www.eanthonymorrisonscam.com into my web browser and my virus protection software went bonkers warning me not to proceed. Not a good sign.

@Leonel – Thanks for summarizing the issues clearly and providing the DeskTopServer quote.

  6. Summer says:

First of all… If I’m “trying” to make money, I am definitely not paying someone to write my check or to tell me how to make money!!!!! If you are looking for a way to make money from home online, you OBVIOUSLY do not have the money to pay them anything, RIGHT? So, do yourself a favor…. Don’t pay anyone money to work for them!!! COMMON SENSE!!

  7. scott s says:

This anthony Morrison guy is a freakin JOKE and con artist…………

  8. Dorothy says:

I lost $5k from Anthony Morrison’s Hidden Millionaires Seminar. His schpeel was great and very convincing. Sucked me in for sure. Once he got my money and gave me a free cheap lap top I could never get a message again regarding the business practice and procedures. Call anytime if you had any questions, right!!!! Now he’s written a book. Go figure. DON’T GET STUCK LIKE I DID

  9. joe says:

i’m sorry but in my opinion if your willing to spend thousands of dollars on promises from a complete stranger…you deserve to learn a lesson…it’s unfortunate people have given into this without reading the fine print…..anyone know where anthony lives? someone needs to slap that nerdy justin timberlake look off his face

  10. MG says:

Beware of Anthony Morrison’s “30 day free trial”. I bought the book just to see what was in it and have been bothered by his Reps calling me ever since…trying to sell me a more expensive system. The bad thing is that they charged my credit card for over a year for the service I declined up front! No wonder he is getting rich (taking advantage of others.)

  11. JB says:

I purchased the book and website deal for $20 over a year ago. I did get hassled for quite a while by his phone jockys trying to sell me the $5K training and even listened to one of the calls that was trying even harder on selling the $5K deal. I have received a little money but nowhere close to what I have invested in Google and Facebook advertising. The question I have is on the honesty on sales?

  12. Blanke says:

To all, just for your information, the message from Christopher was almost certainly an article-bot. Ie: Some poor sap who gets paid almost nothing to write on a subject given to them and put a spin on it as requested. Sites such as The Content Authority farm these jobs out to people looking to make spare cash.
You can tell because the words “Anthony Morrison scam” appear in the first paragraph and the last. When in the interior text, he uses the word “Anthony Morrison con”. It’s the way those sites request it be written. Something to do with hits or what-not.
Anyways, just thought I’d let people know, if it wasn’t obvious already.

  13. jerry says:

If the type of business anthony is selling was so simple any retard watching his infomercial could it, and was a sure fire way to make instant money, then google, goldman sachs or hedge fund would found away to keep that information from the general population.

  14. bob says:

He makes his money selling you on something that may or may not work. 4000.00 to find out ? I don’t think so Tim …

  15. Cathy says:

Just finished watching the Anthony Morrison infomercial and thought I would google for scam information. Boy did the sites come up. Thanks for all the input. Just seemed too good to be true.

  16. Garth says:

@ Christopher – do you work for anthony Morrison by any chance?? He is a CON ARTIST buddy and should not be allowed to adverstise his Scam products… Check out HONEST REVIEWS HERE:

    http://reviewopedia.com/workathome/advertising-profits-from-home-review-is-anthony-morrison-a-scam/

I myself was duped out of $4,000+ and have been paying around $200 to use a service that was misrepresented and mis-sold to me in the first place. Anthony Morrison’s staff withheld a lot of important information and sold me into a program I wasn’t fully aware of – I admit that I was naive and I should have researched more, but they made it seem like it was an exclusive club or something and that there was a ‘careful’ selcetion process to make sure that I was a candidate THEY would want to invest in!! I think that’s the art of a succesful scam. Just to think, if he can get 1,000 people in the US to buy into this scam then that’s $200,000 monthly revenue his company could be generating (but I’m sure the number is closer to 100,000 or so in a country of 350million people).

Please, if you are reading this, DON’T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY, least of all give it to Anthiny Morrison for a pipe dream that you will have to further invest $1000s and won’t have anything to show for it… AND THE WORST PART IS, EVERY MONTH THE PAYMENTS GET TAKEN OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT, YOU CANNOT CANCEL THEM, YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF THE PROGRAM, AND THERE IS NO ONE THAT YOU CAN SPEAK TO THAT WILL ADDRESS YOUR ISSUES….. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

  17. mr koolaid says:

Lol no joke, I’m watching his infomercial as I’m typing this paragraph. The guy looks like a con artist (which he is).but affiliate marketing is a way some millionaires actually make money. Not trying to defend the guy or anything but he does say you need to pjt effort into your business and you need to set some realistic goals. Other than that, don’t listen to him or buy his 4k program
