Google Leads in Best Search Demographics
December 15, 2009 by Pablo Palatnik
So, who uses Google? I think most of us reading this blog right now do, and probably a large percentage of the world does as well to search the internet. Nevertheless, there are those who use Bing and Yahoo, among others to search. Search isn’t always done in search engines as people also use eBay and Amazon as hubs to find low prices on products.
Barrons Reports:
-Seventy-nine percent of 22- to 25-year-olds use Google as their primary search engine, compared to 63% of total respondents. Google usage is skewed toward younger demographics, high-income households, users with college and graduate degrees, and mobile Internet users.
-Forty-three percent of survey participants are aware of Google Docs, the company’s free Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, and presentations product; 7% of respondents use Google Docs frequently and an additional 18% use the product occasionally.
-Awareness and usage is much higher among 18- to 25-year-olds.
