While Tiger Woods may be seeing his downfall from his personal brand but as we all know, scandals make for big media coverage. I think Tiger Woods is the most famous man in America right now. Being dropped from his big endorsement, Gatorade, will put a HUGE dent in Woods’ pocket but not all companies are disappointed and hurt by this. Apparently, the Woods’ scandal is making for big advertising dollars for Yahoo!

“God bless Tiger,” Bartz said while discussing the surge of Woods-related traffic to the site. “This week we got a huge uplift: Front Page, News, Sports, Gossip. He just filtered through the whole place.”

More traffic means more display ads Yahoo can serve up on its pages and that means more money. How much more? When asked if the scandal would “make” Yahoo’s quarter, Bartz said,”Oh, absolutely. He already has.”
