New Google Search Based Keyword Tool

Written by Pablo Palatnik on November 20, 2008

From the Google Adwords blog, Google announced the release of a new search based keyword tool! I have to hand it to them, they really do provide a great wealth of information for us online marketers to have successful campaigns, I think a little more transparency will be enough to be very happy with them but they are working on that, I think. Google recently changed the way they calculate quality score which I dont know how much that helped out advertisers, not sure yet.

“The Search-based Keyword Tool does exactly this, leveraging search query data relevant to your website’s content. In other words, this new tool gives you keywords that are highly relevant to your site but are not part of your AdWords campaigns. This helps you take advantage of missed opportunities.”

I just did a query on one of my websites and I have to say, I’m a bit impressed by noticing the effectiveness of the tool already within the first minute of use.
