2.5 Million Hits in 48 Hours - Sexually Transmitted Viral

A while ago, a friend sent me a link to what I thought was one of the most interesting, edgy viral campaign I’ve seen by a company. As you will see in the new OMMA magazine, there is a piece on the ad Diesel put out created by the Viral Factory which did an incredible job.

This is an 80-second clip which got 2.5 million hits in 48 hours and now has more than 10 million hits (estimated between YouTube.com which it was banned from several times and Break.com)

This was done to celebrate Diesels 30th anniversary and although this might not drive sales up, this is definiately a great branding strategy.
