Google Chrome Gains 1% Market Share Worldwide in 24 Hours
Written by Pablo Palatnik on September 9, 2008
It can only happen with the most popular online company in the world, Google, that within 24 hours of releasing a product, it gains 1% market share WORLDWIDE.
Many thought Google Chrome would hurt IE more than any other browser, also, if you remember the story I posted on Search Engine Journal, “Yahoo Taking Users Away from Internet Explorer: The Revenge To Microsoft?,” Many thought IE was in great danger of losing tremendous market share.
In an article on sitepoint, “StatCounter reported that both Firefox and Safari saw market share declines after Chrome was released (while IE inexplicably gained a few percentage points).”

I use IE in the office, Firefox at home, and yet to download Google Chrome but I have used it and looks great. One thing to note is that Google Chrome does have some cool functionalities that I dont even know about but ties in, or will, with all Google products (gmail, etc.)
