Include Your Website/Blog in Yahoo News

One great source of traffic that is not easy to come by is including yourself as an authoritative news source to the engines. As people search almost everything online in either Google, Yahoo, or MSN, they also turn to the engines for their news source.

Like Google, it is possible to get your website included in Yahoo News which has tremendous traffic and can boost traffic to your site tremendously.

How can I suggest that my news source be added to the Yahoo! News Search results and RSS?

Straight from Yahoo: News content providers can submit content directly to the Yahoo! News Search index by selecting “Suggest news site for inclusion in News Search” from the pull-down menu on the News feedback form.

You will need to include:
* Contact email address
* Name of news source
* URL of news source
* RSS address of news source (optional)

Include your website/blog to Yahoo News!

Some tips that will be very helpful prior to submitting:

1) Make sure all the content on your website is original. There is enough content going around the net for engines to accept content that isn’t yours.

2) Make sure your website looks professional and all content is current. News has to be one thing, CURRENT. You want your website to have a nice structure and make it look like a great news source.

3) Keep ads to a minimum if you’re just starting out. You also want to have ads to show people are paying to have ads on your site meaning you have visitors and your content is worthy of paying for space in it.
