Affiliate Marketers Promote Offer on Television: GetMyFreeLaptop.com

If I wasn’t involved in the world of affiliate marketing, I never would have guessed that the commercial I saw on TV was an affiliate marketing commercial and it surprised me more than anything to see it. There may have been past affiliate marketers doing TV commercials to promote their sites, but this is the first time I saw with affiliate marketing eyes, and a damn good way to promote it and entice people.
If you’re an affiliate marketer, you know all about freebie offers…Free laptops, free ipods, etc. Here, an affiliate marketer is promoting free laptops by making a commercial for GetMyFreeLaptop.com, which is a site that by entering your email and probably filling out a few different offers from “sponsors,” you will recieve a free laptop…yeah…right.
Anyway, while you may agree or disagree with the ethics of promoting such offers, I have to admit it’s a good way offline to generate leads and convert, especially with such an enticing product for consumers who will believe it.

Wow interesting – not sure we’ve ever seen an affiliate marketing TV ad ourselves. Was this nationally or locally?
I believe it was nationally as you will see on the site itself it says “as seen on TV and heard on radio”…i bet it works. Wonder what the ROI is myself but not a bad idea…AT ALL!
