$100 in Free Facebook Advertising on Facebook Ads

Written by Pablo Palatnik on July 31, 2008

If you haven’t heard by now (where the hell have ya been?) Facebook has developed a very targeted way to target its users called Facebook Ads. It is on a CPM or CPC basis and you can get very specific and targeted to whom you’d like.

You can be specific as A 26 year old that likes sports and went to the University of Florida. An advertisers dream, right? Since it has launched, many have said the price per click has drastically increased with increasing competition but considering the traffic and how targeted you can get, it may be very worth those ad dollars.

Visa is giving away $100 in free Facebook advertising by adding an app to your profile. It’s worth a shot!

Pay-Per-Click: My First Google Knol

Written by Pablo Palatnik on July 29, 2008

As most of you know, Google Knol has already rolled out into what many believe will become the 2nd Wikipedia on the web. Does it have any comparisons to Mahalo? Maybe…But Google is Google and whatever they do and decide to move forward with can very well impact the search results in the coming months.

I’ve never written a Wiki on anything but decided to go ahead and give this a shot. What I find most interesting is Google actually does let you capitalize your Knol with adsense which may bring about the question if people will just start writing Knols’ for money. If so, is that ok?

I’m sure we’ll see a few disputes in the next coming months. I decided to write a knol on Pay-Per-Click, mostly for beginners or those who dont quite understand what it is or how it works. I hope its useful.

1708 Web Directories

Written by Pablo Palatnik on July 25, 2008

If you’re optimizing your site and looking to submit your site to certain directories in your niche or try to find free directories, you are probably always looking for a good efficient list to make this process, well, more efficient for you.

I came across a good resource which states the directory (breaks it down by niche, country, etc.) pagerank, cost (some paid some free), value rating, and description. This is just a post about this resource in specific but remember, its not about submiting to as many directories as you can.

You may already have seen it, I came across a while ago but thought to share it for those who may not have.
