Do What You Love & You’ll Be Successful

January 10, 2008 by Pablo Palatnik

OK, this may be a cliché. It sounds like the easiest thing to some while at the same time very hard to achieve. Why? Responsibilities such as a mortgage or family, or just simply no motivation.

Now, I’m sure 90% or more is because there are responsibilities in your life which don’t allow you to do or focus on what you love to do. That’s too bad, but if you make that extra sacrifice (i.e. taking a pay cut to work doing something you enjoy or love) you can pay huge dividends in the long-term.

There is one thing all successful people have in common, ONE major component across the board which led them to great success. THEY LOVE WHAT THEY DO. If you don’t go to work (either for yourself or an employee) motivated and ready to kick ass and take names, you can put success in the backseat for now. Some will be lucky but most won’t.

I’m not the biggest Donald Trump fan, but if there is always one piece of advice he gives, “do what you love.” Some people wake up every morning dreading to go to work…what are you doing? Get active and look for something else.

Be inspired by what you do. Take pride in your work but be humble at the same time. No matter what, success…failures…you can never stop trying.

Some Tips For Success By Dicky Fox (Agent from the movie Jerry McGuire):

-If you don’t love everybody, you can’t sell anybody.

-The key to this business is personal relationships.

-Roll with the punches. Tomorrow is another day.

-I love getting up in the morning. I clap my hands and say, ‘This is gonna be a great day.
