Paramount Releases Jackass 2.5 Free Online

Good content = visitors. Visitors = advertising. Advertising = money. Great content = a lot of visitors. A lot of visitors = Big advertising.

“Paramount Pictures, MTV and Blockbuster have partnered to distribute the latest feature length film from the daredevil reality franchise in an ad-supported environment,” reports ClickZ.

ClickZ also reports, “From December 19th through the 31st, the film will be distributed by movie rental firm Blockbuster’s Movielink service as a streaming video over Microsoft’s Silverlight media player. The movie won’t be directly available from Blockbuster, but instead will be distributed by the movie’s own site at blockbuster.jackassworld.com. As co-sponsor, Blockbuster will manage advertising for initial distribution of the film.
Blockbuster will also sell pre- and post-roll video advertising, and has signed on Clearspring to manage its inventory. Additionally, interactive marketing firm Deep Focus will support the release, according to CEO Ian Schafer.”

Web 2.0 Bubble: Grow or Burst?

This post is inspired by a video maybe a lot of you saw already, but I’m sure a lot of you haven’t.

As ANY bubble eventually burst, the web 2.0 bubble is growing. Search engines (Google) and social media sites (Myspace, Digg, Facebook) are changing the landscape of the internet.

My Two Cents on SEO Link Value Factors

If you’re optimizing a site and beginning your SEO strategies, if content is king, linking is majesty. Now, links will come from content so there’s a fine line in where you really want to focus, but overall, both are extremely important towards your SEO efforts and equally important.

A GREAT post was made on Wiep.net, “Link Value Factors,” which goes into detail from about 10 respected SEOs on the factors and value of links. I strongly recommend reading the post but I wanted to analyze it a bit myself and put my 2 cents.

The first 9 questions will focus on the link factors. This means only factors directly related to the link itself and no on-page or on-domain stuff yet.
