The R4 is as much as a pirate tool as a blank cd. Its a device used for homebrew. Create your own games and software to play on your DS.

Sure it can be used to store ROMS of legit DS games. But even that isnt illegal, as long as you own a copy of the actual game.

All the R4 is doing is providing DS owners with a place to back-up their games and have homebrew software to customise their DS.
