Social Networks and Demographics On The Rise

I’ve always been interested in seeing the new niches and social sites popping up that generate a buzz. The most important factor and key to successful social media marketing is KNOW YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC. Be where your audience is.

LeeAnn Prescott from Hitwise reports on three demographic and social websites coming up.

1)CafeMom. Of course, mothers love to network with other mothers. What better than to build a social site just for them! 78% of its users were under the age of 34.

2)Daily Strength. This site is for health and life problem issues. What a niche…almost everyone has questions about health issues that affect them or anyone in their circle of friends, family, and EVERYONE has life problems.

3)Eons. I blogged about this network a few weeks back. I think it’s a great target for those marketing to a demographic over 50+.
