Eons.com- Targeting the 50+ Year old Demographic in Social Networking
May 2, 2007 by Pablo Palatnik
If you’re looking for an older crowd to share your articles with about insurance, financial services, politics, and more, Netscape is your best bet in the social bookmark area.
Eons.com is the Myspace for the 50+ year old demographic. It’s something fresh to bring that age group into the social space of the internet. It’s not a dating site, but a site where you can create a profile, share stories, blogs, life dreams, music, and more.
Why target Eons.com? It is the most interactive site on the web (that I know and researched) for the 50+ adult demographic. If you’re doing some marketing on Myspace, think about what you’re offering and if it would make sense to target the EONS demographic.
It’s showing great growth in the past year.
Although the demographic in which EONS targets is the least interested in social networking, Jupiter Research estimates about 62.4 million over 50 year old adults will be online by 2010.
