A Look At Meshly.com- New Concepts Welcomed In My Book

Written by Pablo Palatnik on April 25, 2007

Meshly.com is something I just heard about a few days ago. Just another Social Media website jumping in the bandwagon with a new twist. I’m not sure if the Meshly.com model exist already, but basically you are submitting your links through Instant Messanger. Think DIGG with a lot less traffic and a new tool to bookmark stories.

Meshly.com

Right now, the website looks disorganized with post in different languages and no set structure which hopefully, with growth, establishes itself.

How Meshly.com Works?

Meshly.com data is not available at the moment and don’t really expect any for a while as this I believe has just launched. With so many social websites entering the market, few will survive the competition of Myspace, Facebook, Digg, etc..Meshly.com falls under the ‘Social Bookmarking’ umbrella.

While I think the concept of the IM is convenient for the user, the toolbar used StumbleUpon (WHICH I HOPE DIGG COMES OUT WITH) is way more convenient for the user.

I woke up this morning with really good news. While my usual morning routine which includes reading the Search Engine Journal, I found out I won the contest for the FOOA Conference in New York (Future Of Online Advertising).

The question that needed to be answered was “How do you think social media has changed the online advertising landscape?”

To read all the details, please visit SEARCH ENGINE JOURNAL.

Making Myspace Effective To Market Your CPA Offer or Product

Written by Pablo Palatnik on April 24, 2007

Ringtones. Ringtones. How To Make Money. Ringtones. How To Make Money. Ringtones. ENOUGH!

If you are going to spam Myspace to market your CPA offer, do it effectively and carefully. I don’t encourage spamming but Myspace is a great resource to promote a product or brand in a short period of time IF DONE RIGHT.

Myspace

Every time I sign into my account I find new friend request with a picture of a girl or a comment by some guy telling me he found the best ringtone website out there, OR a comment of the Apple iPhone that you cant delete. THIS IS HOW NOT to market effectively on Myspace.

Understand the user. They are there for one reason, to interact with others. Before the spamming craze, it did work to an extent but the users have caught on and im pretty sure its ineffective to most wasting their time doing this. Again, marketing your product, even CPA offers does work, but doing it effectively.

-Build your profile to develop trust with the user. (people are actually sending request without a picture..your friend conversion should be less than 1%)
-DO NOT comment on everyone’s profiles telling them you found the hottest thing out there.
-Interact through bulletins- not comments. (easy way to get the boot—give sometime before you start doing this).
-Separate yourself from the rest. (Almost every offer that’s out looks the same).
-Target Your Audience. If you are still pushing Ringtones on myspace, dont just go and request the world myspace world, request people in groups that are into music, etc. If you are running a campaign that gives away a free XBOX, target Gamers.

If you have any questions on marketing your CPA offer effectively on Myspace or your company/product, eMail me.
